The American Fluoridation Institute is a 501(c)3 organization, formed in 2020 by dental and medical professionals to educate community leaders and the public about the safety, health, and economic benefits of community water fluoridation – the most cost-effective prevention measure for better dental health

The primary mission of the American Fluoridation Institute is to educate community leaders and the public about the safety, health and economic benefits of community water fluoridation (CWF) – the most cost-effective prevention measure for better dental health.
Our Vision
All communities in the United States on a public or community water supply will provide fluoridated water to its residents for better dental health.
The mission and vision will come to fruition by:
- Educating and promoting the safety, health, and economic benefits of community water fluoridation to communities and residents;
- Offering educational assistance to community leaders, organizations, and the public who want to initiate and sustain community water fluoridation; and
- Supporting sound, evidence-based research on the value of community water fluoridation.
